MeasnetMEASNET – Measurement Network

Founded in 1997, MEASNET is an international association of independent laboratories that ensures comparable, traceable, and reliable Measurement and assessment services in the wind energy sector.

The standards established by MEASNET are recognised worldwide by banks, investors, turbine manufacturers and project developers as a reliable source of data.

Its objective is to ensure that measurements and tests in the wind energy field are carried out in accordance with international standards (IEC, ISO, MEASNET etc.), consistently and with low uncertainty.

It defines common methods for measurements used in wind turbine performance verifications as well as site suitability and energy production assessment.

FGW Fördergesellschaft Windenergie und andere Dezentrale Energien

Founded in 1985, FGW is a non-profit association that unites technical experts, measurement institutes, manufacturers, project developers and other stakeholders active in wind energy and decentralised renewables.

FGW’s standards and guidelines are widely recognised by authorities, grid operators, investors, manufacturers and project developers across Germany and Europe as a reliable basis for planning, approval, financing and operation of renewable energy assets.

Its objective is to support and promote a future supply of renewable energy based on decentralised generation units, ensuring grid neutrality and fair feed-in rules. FGW anticipates technical and regulatory challenges early and defines common, robust procedures for measurement, certification, grid connection, performance assessment and system integration in line with state-of-the-art technology.

It develops and maintains the FGW Technical Guidelines (TR), which cover all relevant aspects of wind energy and decentralised systems: from power-curve measurement and noise emission to electrical characteristics, grid conformity, standardised yield and energy yield assessments, operation and maintenance protocols, and certificates for plant components. These guidelines are designed to ensure that all measurements and assessments are comparable, traceable and meet defined quality standards regardless of who performs them.

CertifiedCapacity Declaration

USENS is certified as a measurement laboratory by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 guideline for energy production assessments, site suitability studies and wind measurements. TÜRKAK is a signatory to the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA) Multilateral Agreement (MLA) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) under ISO/IEC 17025. The attached certificate is recognised worldwide, just like those issued by other signatories (DAkkS, ENAC, etc.).
